Did You Know Blog Day is Almost Here?
I was poking around yesterday and I stumbled on the Blog Day web site.
Did you know there is a day set aside world wide for blogging and bloggers? Did you know that that day is almost here?
What’s it all about, you ask? Well here is what the web site has to say about it.
BlogDay was initiated with the belief that bloggers should have one day which will be dedicated to know other bloggers, from other countries or areas of interests. In that day Bloggers will recommend about them to their Blog visitors.
What will happen in BlogDay
In one long moment In August 31st, bloggers from all over the world will post a recommendation of 5 new Blogs, Preferably, Blogs different from their own culture, point of view and attitude. On this day, blog surfers will find themselves leaping and discovering new, unknown Blogs, celebrating the discovery of new people and new bloggers.
It sounds like a lofty goal, maybe even a little pie in the sky optimistic.
It also sounds like my kind of fun. I’m in. Thursday I’ll share 5 new blogs with you and give y’all an opportunity to discover something new.

Hi Chris. I just wanted to let you know that you are a worthless spammer. Your blog is horrid. And I sincerely hope that something terrible happens to you.
Hello, back at you “.” (Or would you prefer I call you “period”? “Dot” maybe?) You are certainly entitled to your opinions about my worth, blog quality, as well as your aspirations regarding my future. While I disagree (especially about the future part) I’ve got no beef with folks who have differing opinions. Even if they are rude about it.
I’m not sure how I could possibly qualify as a “spammer” though? If my stuff is being used for spam by someone, by all means please be an adult and send me an email with the relevant information and I will do everything I can to put a stop to it.
By calling me a “worthless spammer” are you implying that there are valuable spammers out there? That seems a bit of an oxymoron to me. I’m just saying.
LOL … I always have to laugh when someone thinks they can just make unqualified and unquantified blog comments, but are not even man (or woman) enough, to post it under their real name, to allow for a proper dialogue.
What are people so afraid of?
I could go on for a while … but somehow I have doubts that these comments will be read by the Dot … oh well, be it as it may … I like your blog, Chris, enjoy the applications and think it is pretty cool how similar our way of thinking and looking at certain things in life is …

You never know. The Dot may be back. The IP address was from a computer at Perdue University. Maybe the Dot will learn something from that fine institution.
Manners would be a good place to start.
Hi, Dot -
Thanks for surfing through my friend Chris’ site. He’s trying to do his best to provide whatever it is the rest of us come through for - and I’m hoping you’ll come through again and tell us your real name and what you really think. It’s hard to have intelligent coherent thoughts in college. Evidently.
Wait, was the too harsh and sarcastic? Dang.
Rick, You made me laugh! But then I go for that sort of thing…
Hey Rick, I am almost 34 years old, and I am in college, voluntarily — so that might be a bit different. But there are days that I don’t want to have coherent thoughts
:-)
Now I have to just remember that, the next time I come across someone like Da Dot on my blog or any of the msg boards that I am helping out on.
To Dot:
I will be putting you on my prayer list.
Touche, Chris!
Tree & Cuileann, I guess the lesson here is that it is good for someone to come in and shake things up a bit. It gets us all thinking and talking more.
What was it Joseph told his brothers at the end?
