OK, Here’s an article that could open up some discussion.
Apparently there is a priest over at the Vatican who is the Pope’s official “Caster Out of Demons” – Father Gabriele Amorth. And Father Amorth says that Hitler & Stalin were both possessed by the Devil.
What are your thoughts on that whole deal?

On first glance, I would say that this assumption would explain a lot about why both men were on one hand brilliant at some of the things they did, yet on the other hand so horribly sick and twisted in some of their views and ideas.
I do not consider myself an expert on Stalin, nor per se an expert on Hitler either. But I have studied Hitler quite a bit, recently thanks to my “Leadership Development” class, last semester in school. And there are definitely symptoms that would support the conclusion that Hitler was posseessed. If not by the “red dude” himself, then at least by one of his major demons. All the screaming and spitting that Hitler did during his most notable speeches, could have indeed be a sign of possession, rather than a rethorical tool. And his mixed up concept of what is a religion versus what is a race, and certainly then the idea of the complete eradication of that perceived “race” — all indicators for a possible demon possession.
But on the other hand, why stop there? What about Mao Tse Tung in China, the Marcos family in the Phillipines, the guy in Waco, TX, Timothy McVeigh, Saddam Hussein, Osama Bin Laden and on goes the list …

Yeah. I remember seeing a show on the History Channel once that explored the theory that Hitler was addicted to some kind of drugs too. I want to say amphetamines, but I can’t remember off the top of my head. They compared the historical record of his behavior and medical records with those of known addicts to whatever drug they were talking about.
Who knows?
